Microsoft recently concluded a special event ahead of Build 2024; it has a range of exciting updates. In addition to refreshing its Surface lineup, Microsoft made significant announcements in AI and introduced a new era of PCs in partnership with Lenovo, Asus, Dell, and others.

The launch of Copilot Plus PCs
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced how the company is “bringing the AI wave to PCs” with a new category of computers called Copilot Plus. These devices are powered by Arm-based Snapdragon X Elite and processors from Qualcomm, with plans to include Intel and AMD chips.
These chips feature neural processing units (NPUs) specifically designed to enable new AI features in Windows 11. Microsoft made this Copilot Plus PCs, 58 percent faster than the M3 MacBook Air. Alongside Microsoft’s latest Surface devices, Lenovo, Dell, Acer, Asus, and HP are also launching Copilot Plus devices to support these advanced AI capabilities.
A new Recall feature tracks everything you do on your PC.
One of the key AI features in Copilot Plus PCs is Recall. This new tool runs locally on your device, logging everything you do on your computer. It enables you to search for and retrieve any content you’ve interacted with, such as conversations in apps like Discord or specific PowerPoint slides you were working on.
New Copilot integrations within Windows 11
Microsoft is expanding Copilot’s presence in Windows 11. The AI assistant will now offer suggestions within the Settings menu, edit files in File Explorer, and write responses to notifications.
Additionally, Copilot will be upgraded with OpenAI’s new GPT-4o model, enabling it to answer questions based on the content displayed on your screen.
The Surface Pro now features a speed boost and an OLED display option.
Microsoft’s new Surface Pro, now without a model number, replaces the previous generation’s Intel Core Ultra processor with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and chips. It is up to 90 percent faster than the last Surface Pro and, for the first time, offers an option for an OLED display panel.
The thin-slice Surface Pro beginning is fixed at $999.99 and comes in quadruplet diverse shades, similar to cobalt blue, tan, dark, and silver. It’s friendly with an untried Surface Pro Flex Typewriter that acts when united or unfastened from the instrument.
A Surface Laptop that’s “faster than a MacBook Air”
Microsoft has also approved the new Surface Laptop, which supposedly provides the summon-ready Snapdragon X Elite and potato chips. The artifice is a renewed plan with slimmer bezels and a haptic touchpad. Microsoft declares the deception is over 80 percent more prompter than its earlier generation and provides up to 22 hours of local picture playback.
The Surface Laptop 6 approaches 13.8- and 15-inch exhibit preferences, starting at $999.99. It also arrives in blue, beige, black, and platinum.
Adobe, Davinci Resolve, Capcut, and more are coming to Copilot Plus PCs.
Microsoft Working goes hand in hand with corporations such as Adobe, preparing their apps for Copilot Plus personal computers. The native Arm64 variants of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Firefly, and Express are currently available on Copilot Plus PCs! Yet, Illustrator and Premiere Pro, they’re comin’ this summertime. Copilot Plus PCs get AI wizardry embedded in DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Cephable, and Djay Pro.
